Use of <Anyway>

1. You use anyway to say something does not matter, or you don't care.

For example =We were told not to go, but went anyway.

Example >I didn't go to the concert. I'm not a big rock fan, and I didn't have a ticket anyway.

2. anyway to change the topic or end a conversation.

Like - Yeah, the homework's going to be hard... anyway, did you hear about the football game?

Example -OK, anyway, I'll see you later.

3. You use anyway to add some information to something you just said.

For eg. Jesse and Anne had a big fight. That's what I heard anyway.

Now, {By the way}

You say by the way when you add something to what you are saying, especially something that you have just thought of.

For Example ~~ The name Latifah, by the way, means 'delicate'.

By the way, how did your seminar go?
