Given:

Object experiences a force.

To find:

Changes caused by force.

Solution:

Apart from changing :

  • the magnitude of Velocity

  • the direction of motion ,

Force causes a number of changes in objects as follows :

  • Change in shape of an object

  • Change in size of an object

  • Change in the type of energy possessed by an object.

Force causes change in shape and size of the body provided the body is non-rigid in characteristics.

For example : Force can change the shape of a soft dough , it can even make a wire out of a ductile metal, etc.

Force causes change in type of energy possessed by a body:

For example: Gravity acting on a free-falling body causes change in Potential to Kinetic energy , etc.

Hope It Helps.
