Answer:

Explanation:

The metre bridge is a device which is a practical application of Wheatstone bridge used for measuring an unknown resistance and for comparing two unknown resistances. Potentiometer is a three terminal resistor with sliding or moving contact. It provides resistance/opposition to the flow of current current

Application of meter bridge is used to find resistance of unknown conductor and based on principle of wheat stone bridge.

Explanation:

  • Wheatstone bridge principle states that if four resistances p,q,r and s are arranged in bridge form with the cell e below it  and one key is put between point a and c and a galvanometer is connected in between the points b and d such that there is no current through g
  • Null deflection that is the ratio of their resistances are equal and no current flows through the galvanometer this is the principle of wheatstine bridge
  • Meterbridge is also called slide wire bridge the prinnciple of meterbridge is same as wheatstone bridge and this instrument is used to find the unknown  resistance of a conductor.
