✏️Henry's law: Henry's law states that

The mass of a gas dissolved in

given volume of the liquid at

constant temperature depends

upon the pressure applied.✏️

HERE 2 IMPORTANT APPLICATION:

✍️(i)To increase the solubility of CO2

in soda water and soft drinks, the

bottle is sealed under high

pressure.

✍️(ii) At high altitude, low blood

oxygen causes climber to become

weak and make them unable to

think clearly, which are symptoms

of a condition known as anoxia.

In packing soda cans: To increase the solubility of carbon dioxide gas in soda water.

In deep sea diving: As nitrogen is a more soluble gas in our blood and at deep sea, pressure increases, so it's solubility also increases. When diver tries to come rapidly to the surface, pressure decreases and dissolved nitrogen in his blood starts forming bubbles. To avoid this, diver uses Oxygen diluted with helium.
