Answer :

➥ Time taken by the parrot to cross the railway track = 10 sec

Given :

➤ Distance of train (d) = 150 m

➤ Velocity of train (v₁) = 10 m/s

➤ Velocity of parrot (v₂) = 5 m/s

To Find :

➤ Time taken by the parrot (t) = ?

Solution :

A train of length 150 m is moving opposite to a bird which is flying at a velocity of 15 m/s. The train is travelling at a velocity of 10 m/s since they are move in the opposite direction, then relative velocity is sum of the velocity = 10 + 5 = 15 m/s

As we know that

\tt{:\implies Time \: taken = \dfrac{Distance}{Velocity}}

\tt{:\implies Time \: taken = \cancel{\dfrac{150}{15}}}

\bf{:\implies  \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \purple{ \:  \: Time \: taken = 15 \: sec \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

rel

Hence, the time taken by the parrot to cross the railway track is 10 sec.
