aquatic plants do not decay even though they are always in water why??

Aquatic plants have  different type of structure that makes them resistant from decaying even though they are in the water. They have the different epidermal layer of cells and the cuticle is more thick.

They don't decay because they have the thick cuticle in them in epidermis tissue.
