Aqueous solution of HCl show acidic character but the aqueous soln of glucose failed to do so. Why?

Due to presence of ionic bond between H and Cl in HCl

Aqueous solution of HCl shows acidic character but the aqueous solutions of glucose fail to do so because the HCl sol. dissociates to give H+ ion but glucose does not dissociates into any ions. It is a neutral covalent compound.
