The total land is 1
2/5th of land = for potatoes
1/3th of land = for greens
Let the part of land for brinjals be x

So, 2/5 + 1/3 + x = 1
6 + 5/15 + x = 1
11/15 + x = 1
x = 15 - 11/15
x = 4/15

Answer:

4/15 part of the garden she planted brinjal.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Aradhana grows potato in 2/5 part of the garden.

Greens in 1/3 part of the garden.

And the brinjals in the remaining part.

To find:-

The part of garden in which she planted brinjal.

According to the question,

Let the total land of garden be x.

Since Aradhana grows potato in 2/5 part of the garden, i.e.,

The part of garden in which Aradhana grows potato = 2/5 of the garden

                                                                                        = \frac{2}{5}\times x

                                                                                        = \frac{2x}{5}

Also, the part of garden she grows greens = 1/3 of the garden

                                                                       = \frac{1}{3}\times x

                                                                       = \frac{x}{3}

In the remaining part of the garden, she grows brinjal is,

= x-\frac{2x}{5}-\frac{x}{3}

= \frac{15x-6x-5x}{15}

= \frac{4x}{15}

Therefore, 4/15 part of the garden she planted brinjal.
