\LARGE\textbf{\underline{Given :- }}

\large\textsf{⟾ Each side of the square tile = 10 cm }

\large\textsf{⟾ Length of the kitchen = 220 cm}

\large\textsf{⟾ Width of the kitchen = 180 cm }

\LARGE\textbf{\underline{To find :- }}

\large\textsf{⇝ Total number of square tiles would be required = ?}

\LARGE\textbf{\underline{Formula :- }}

\large: \: \Longrightarrow\boxed{\textbf\textcolor{purple}{ Area of a square = Side²}}\\\\\\\large:   \:\Longrightarrow\boxed{\textbf\textcolor{purple}{ Area of a rectangle = l × w}}

\LARGE\textbf{\underline{Method :- }}

  • First calculate the area of the kitchen and the area of the square tile.
  • Then divide the area of the kitchen by the area of the tile.
  • By doing this we can get the number of tiles required.

\LARGE\textbf{\underline{Solution :- }}

\large\leadsto\textsf{Area of the kitchen :- }\\\\\large\leadsto\textsf{Length = 220 cm}\\\\\large\leadsto\textsf{Width = 180 cm}

\large\textsf{⟾ Area of the kitchen = 220 × 180}\\\\\\\large\boxed{\therefore\textbf\textcolor{magenta}{Area of the kitchen = 39600 cm²}}\\\\\\\\\\\large\textsf{➳ Area of the square tile :- }\\\\\large\textsf{➳ Side = 10 cm}\\\\\\\large\textsf{⟾ Area of the square tile = 10²}\\\\\\\large\boxed{\therefore\textbf\textcolor{magenta}{Area of the square tile = 100 cm²}}\\\\\\\\\large\textsf{➳ Total number of square tiles required : -}

\large\textsf{⟾ Total square tiles = $ \cfrac{Area \: \: \:  of \: \: \: the\:  \: \: kitchen}{Area\: \: \:  of\: \: \:  the\: \: \:  square\: \: \:  tile }$}\\\\\\\\\large\textsf{⟾ Total square tiles = $ \cfrac{ 39600}{100}$}\\\\\\\\\large\textsf{⟾ Total square tiles = $\cancel\cfrac { 39600}{100}$}

\large\boxed{\therefore\textbf\textcolor{red}{Total square tiles required = 396}}
