Archimedes was a famous Greek guy,
Who found a principle that all matter goes by.
The way he found it was quite interesting you see,
For he was into math and not biology.
He was going for a bath in some steaming water,
He suddenly jumped out and startled the potter.
The potter wasn't the only on who saw him run around.
Archimedes was excited by water spilled on the ground.
"Eureka!" he said, "I've found it!" he cried.
While the people in the streets averted their eyes.
It took awhile for him to calm down,
And he had just run naked through town.
"But why was he running?" a reader might say,
Well, remember, he was having a bath on that day.
When he jumped in, some water spilled out.
And then he founds something and he couldn't pout.
The volume of the water was equal to his own!
And that is what made him world widely renown.
But one more thing he soon did discover.
The buoyancy and water weighed the same as each other!
When he was immersed, he lost some weight
And so his thoughts came all in a spate.
The weight he lost was the same as the force
It was called buoyancy, he knew that of course
But the water that spilled out was the same as the weight.
This was the weight that he lost in the tub.
The Archimedes principle was what the idea was dubbed.
The Archimedes principle has helped us a lot.
It always works; even try it in a pot.
You'll find that this Greek guy's idea was quite true.
So, if you're not convinced, it'll work for you too
