Let the initial velocity when the stop watch is started be u. Let the acceleration be a. In the first 2 s it travels a distance 2 m.

Using, S = ut + ½ at2

=> 2 = 2u + 2a

=> 1= u + a ………………(1)

And in t=2s to t=6s it travels 2.2 m distance

So,

2.2 = 4u + 16a

=> 1.1 = 2u + 8a ……………(2)

From (1) and (2),

a = -0.15m/s2, u =1.15m/s

So, the velocity at the end of 7s is,

v = u + at

=> v = 1.15 + (-0.15)(7)

=> v = 0.10 m/s
