Collenchyma is absent in monocot stems, roots and leaves. Manymonocots are herbaceous and do nothave the ability to increase the width of a stem (secondary growth) via the same kind of vascular cambium found in non-monocot woody plants.

No!

All monocot stem doesn't belongs to non-woody plants. Yes, they are herbaceous and do not have the ability to increase their width of stem but that doesn't signifies that all monocots stem are non-woody plants.
