are animals able to see colours

Some animals are able to see colours and some not this is because in animal's eyes they have retina and in it has either rods or cones OR both rods and cones (rods - black & white. cones - colours)
For eg - Dogs,cats, bulls,etc. have more rods than cones that's why they don't able to see colours more & Butterflies,bees have both rods and cones that's why they are able to see more colours in detail.
