The dark fringe width can be assumed to be distance between upper points of the two consecutive crest like shapes (see the below figure, it is the wave, but you can imagine it to be interference pattern), it mean the same as saying distance between the centers of two consecutive bright or dark fringe.
The distance between any two consecutive bright fringes or two consecutive dark fringes is called fringe spacing. Fringe spacing or thickness of a dark fringe or a bright fringe is equal.

yeah Fringe width separation is same in case of interference given by formula
x = λD/a

Where; x = fringe spacing i.e. the width of each dark/bright fringe.

D = distance between the double slits and the screen

a = distance between the two slits
