ASCI, or the Advertising Standards Council of India, has developed and adopted a code of conduct for self-regulation in advertising. It is an honest commitment to facts, fair competition, respect for all groups and beliefs, religious, political etc. This ensures negative connotations of all kinds are avoided. In the case of a violation, the affected person or group has the right to take the client or the advertising agency to court so that proper justice is done.
