• Organism that live in water totally or partially depend on soil are :

• No they are not totally depend as if there is no continuous supply of mineral from the soil to water bodies, minerals present in the water will exhaust. The organisms living in water will not be able to survive for a long time. Thus, organisms that live in water are not totally independent of soil as a resource.

amoli2004: What is the role of water in the life of marine animals?......................because they get the oxygen dissolved in water....but this oxygen is again present in he water because it is released by green marine plants after photosynthesis.....plants grow on seabed(soil). thus everything comes back to soil....and still we can't say that marine animals are totally dependent upon soil.....Why????
