Personal Law

The people of India belong to different religions and faiths. They are governed by different sets of personal laws in respect of matters relating to family affairs, i.e., marriage, divorce, succession, etc.

Family law (also called matrimonial law) is an area of the law that deals with family matters and domestic relations, including:

marriage, civil unions, and domestic partnerships;adoption and surrogacy;

so..ya...as far as i conclude...according to me they are same...but then again pls check it out
