Equation_1 = 2x - y = 6 ⇒2x - y - 6 = 0

a_1= 2, b_1= -1, c_1= -6

Equation_2 = x + 3y - 8 = 0

a_2= 1, b_2= 3, c_2= -8

\frac{a_1}{a_2}= \frac{2}{1}= 2

\frac{b_1}{b_2}= \frac{-1}{3}

⇒ 2 ≠ \frac{-1}{3}

∴The 2 equations are consistent as \frac{a_1}{a_2} \frac{b_1}{b_2}
