Depending on the conditions of temperature and pressure,matter can exist any of the three main states i.e.,solid,liquid and gas.Matter can be interconverted from one state to the other by the addition or removal of heat energy.All the three states of mattercare interconvertible.For e.g:

Solid,liquid and gas are inter connected.Freezing,boiling and heating changes the state of water uy becomes solid(ice).When we heat ice it becomes liquid(water).If water is boiled it becomes gas(watet vapour).
