Avalanches happen in each state and U.S. region.

The Appalachian Mountains, the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Coastal Ranges and a few sections of Alaska and Hawaii have extreme avalanche issues.

Any zone made out of exceptionally frail or broke materials laying on a lofty incline can and will probably encounter avalanches.

Landslides: The phenomenon where the soil slides from the top causing damage to property and health is called as a landslide.

Reason:

  • Earthquakes occurring on areas with steep slopes can trigger mass movement of soil.
  • Sloped areas become prone to landslides due to heavy rainfall.

According to experts, our area does not contain big mountains around us and the chances of landslides are minimal. Furthermore, the rainfall is also very scarce and there is no history of seismic points in the area.

So, the possibility of landslides in the area is very minimal.
