Are We Too Dependent On Our Mobiles?
In the media today, we all hear a great deal about the perils of modern technology. We now can be addicted to the Internet, Facebook and Twitter, not to mention the already existent perils like television, alcohol and drugs.
What isn’t often mentioned is our addiction to cell phones. Maybe nobody talks about it because, unlike Twitter and Facebook, cell phones are such useful tools for everything from friendship to business.
Cell phones have not only become a method for communication, they have evolved into an entertainment gadget. The twin notions that we see our phones as entertainment devices and that we cannot leave our homes without them demonstrate an unhealthy dependency.
Especially with all the applications and features available on mobiles, designers make it easy to get dependent. Cell phones are now all-in-one gadgets, serving as not only a phone, but an mp3 player, TV, camera, and PDA.
We are dependent on cell phones in the way that we have become dependent on cars or planes to quickly travel. In this 21st century, We all humans are dependent on one and the other. For example Computer, mobiles etc. For a single work to do, we show laziness. And the reason behind them is nothing but mobile and computers.
Each and every human being, in this world has become dependent. Hence, one can say that it is only because of mobiles and computers.
In a sense , they are becoming addicted to it and this can lead to a problem to themselves.
To reduce this addiction, it's much difficult for this generation but severe efforts can be taken up. Most of us cannot live without our phone. ... And yes these phones are a great addiction to our lives which is surely not a good thing.
Even it is seen in small children playing video games, playing on mobiles for a long period of time. This leads to diseases arising slowly and slowly.But it's also seen that even the parents of a child are addicted to this.
If parents want their children to stop using smartphone, they themselves should refrain themselves first from the phones. Then only, some thing can change ourselves from this addiction.
