When was the last time you researched for an answer by looking through a book or article and not using your phone or computer? Our laziness is the reason we always use our phones and computers. We are now not only dependant on them but also addicted.

Mobile phones and computers have become a major source of distraction for everyone, especially for students and youngsters. They have become inordinately addicted to them and are thoughtlessly wasting away their precious time on them. They are not using modern devices in the right way. They are using them mainly for the purpose of entertainment, which is unwise.

Electronic communication devices have led to various technological advances, but every light has its shadow. The overuse of mobiles and computers has posed serious health issues such as weak eyesight, obesity, headaches, fatigue, sleep disturbances, difficulty in concentration, etc. Further, the continuous staring down to read your phone puts a lot of stress on your neck and spine and you can even develop a hunch.

The most effective solution to reduce addiction of computers and mobile phones is to substitute them with books (e-books, even) and watch TV channels which provide general knowledge. Our generation wastes their time on mobile phones and computers. We should rather spend time on studying, researching or enriching their knowledge. We need to learn to make good use of the advanced and modern mobile phones and computers.

I am sure, with slow but steady progress, we can overcome the dependency.
