Are y=3x+7 and y=3x−8 parallel to each other?

for the line to be parallel to each other,

 \frac{a1}{a2 }  =  \frac{b1}{b2}  \\  but \: it \: \: should \: not \: be \: equal \: to \:  \frac{c1}{c2}

a1 = 3

a2 = 3

b1 = 1

b2 = 1

c1= 7

c2 = -8

we can clearly see that,

 \frac{a1}{a2}  =  \frac{b1}{b2}  = 1

and they are not equal to c1/c2

So, the line are parallel
