Given -

Area of trapezius is

48

m

h = 15 m

a = 20 m

We have to find out the value of b.

Solution -

As we know that,

Area of trapezius =

 \frac{a + b}{2}  \times h

By putting the given values in the formula we get,

48 =  \frac{20 + b}{2}  \times 100

As we want to find the value of b. So, shift the other value to one side except b

48  \div 100   \times   2 = 20 + b

96  \div  100 = 20 + b

 0.96= 20 + b

0.96- 20 =b

b =  - 19.04

The length should not be in negative .

So,

b = 19.04 \: cm

Hence,

The value of the b is 19.04 m .

According to the information provided in the question.

It is stated in the preceding question that,

The presented information is Area of trapezium=48m

h=15m

a=20m

We need to find the value of b.

As a result, the simplified equation is,

Area=\frac{a+b}{2} \times h,

Substitute the value in the above equation,

\begin{array}{l}48 \div 100 \times 2=20+b \\96 \div 100=20+b \\0.96=20+b \\0.96-20=b \\b=-19.04\end{array}

As we know that the length value cannot be negative,

Therefore the value of b is 19.04m
