Answer:

Answer:√32 cm

Given:

Area of an isosceles triangle=8 cm^2

Solution:-

We know that

Area of isosceles triangle=1/2×b×h

8=1/2×base×base {as two side of an isosceles triangle are equal}

8=1/2(base)^2

16=(base)^2

Base=√16

Base=4 cm

Now In ∆ABC,using Pythagoras theorem

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

AC^2=4^2+4^2

AC^2=16+16

AC^2=32

AC=√32 cm
