Answer:

area of square= 36m*36m=1296m square

area of rectangular plot= 1296m square

l*b=1296

40*b=1296

b=1296÷40

b=32.4

now, perimeter of rectangular plot

=2(l+b)

=2(40+32.6)

=2(72.6)

=145.2m

Answer:

Breadth of the rectangular lawn = 32.4 m

Perimeter of rectangular lawn = 144.8 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangular lawn = Area of square

Side of square = 36

Area = 36 × 36 = 1296 m²

36 m = 36 m

Length of the rectangular lawn = 40 m

l × b = 1296

40 ×  b = 1296

b = 1296/40

b = 32.4 m

Breadth of the rectangular lawn = 32.4 m

Perimeter of rectangular lawn = 2(l+b)

2(40 + 32.4) = 2 × 72.4

                    = 144.8 m

Check ⇒

Area of rectangular lawn = Area of square

1296 m² = 1296 m²

Length of rectangular lawn = 40 m

Breadth of rectangular lawn = 32.4 m

Area of rectangular lawn = l × b

                                          = 40 × 32.4

                                          = 1296 m²

Area of square = S × S

S = 36 m

Area of square = 36 × 36

                         = 1296 m²

Perimeter of rectangular lawn = 2(l+b)

                                                  = 2(40 + 32.4)

                                                  = 2 × 72.4

                                                  =  144.8 m

Hence, the answer is correct.
