Let the length of each side of square be 's'.
Now, the area of the square = 1/2 of hectare = 0.5 hectare
1 hectare = 10000 sq m
So, 0.5 hectare = 5000 sq m
Now,
Side × Side = 5000 sq m
Side = √5000
Side = 50√2 m
Length of the diagonal of square = √2s
= 50 × √2 × √2
= 50 × 2
Length of diagonal of square = 100 m
Now, the area of the square = 1/2 of hectare = 0.5 hectare
1 hectare = 10000 sq m
So, 0.5 hectare = 5000 sq m
Now,
Side × Side = 5000 sq m
Side = √5000
Side = 50√2 m
Length of the diagonal of square = √2s
= 50 × √2 × √2
= 50 × 2
Length of diagonal of square = 100 m
