Let the side of a square be x cm.

A.T.Q,

Length Of Rectangle= (x+5)cm
Breadth Of Rectangle= (x-4)cm

Area Of Square = Area Of
Rectangle .... {Given}

Hence,
x {}^{2}  = (x + 5)(x - 4)
x {}^{2}  = x { }^{2}  - 4x + 5x - 20
 - x = - 20
x = 20 \: cm
Therefore, Side of Square = 20 cm

aditya4844: the answer is not appropriate
writermanjeet: what is in this appropriate bro
aditya4844: the area is not same
writermanjeet: see the first line of questiin
writermanjeet: question
aditya4844: so what???
writermanjeet: area is same
writermanjeet: given
writermanjeet: hence, (side)²= Length x Breadth. But Length =x+5 and Breadth=x-4
aditya4844: but when you practically do this you didn't get the same answer
