~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Given:
• Area of the trapezium = 324m²
• One of the parallel side is 14m longer than the other side.
• Height of the trapezium = 18m
To find:
• The two parallel sides
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Solution:

• As one of the parallel side is 14m longer than the other, First parallel side = 14 + Other parallel side.

• Let the other parallel side be 'x'

• Therefore, The first parallel side = 14+x

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Formula to find Area of trapezium:
•Area of trapezium = ½ × Sum of parallel sides × h
On applying the formula,
⇒ ½ × (14+y+y) × 18 = 324
⇒ ½ × 14+2y × 18 = 324
⇒ 14+2y × 18 = 324 × 2
⇒ 14+2y × 18 = 648
⇒ 14+2y = 648/18
⇒ 14+2y = 36
⇒ 2y = 36-14
⇒ 2y = 22
⇒ y = 11
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

First Side = 14+y = 14+11 = 25

Second side = y = 11
