Hello user

Let L= 2x

B = x

So, x = 10*2^1/2

2x = 20*2^1/2

Answer: The length and breadth of the rectangular garden is 28.28 cm and 14.14 cm respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangular garden=400cm^2

Let its breadth be x

Thus, length is 2x

We know that area of a rectangle = Length * Breadth

x(2x) = 400'

2x^2 = 400

x^2=200 (dividing both sides by 2 )

x= +14.14 or -14.14 (square rooting on both sides)

Breadth cannot be -ve, thus x=14.14cm

Length = 2x=2(14.14)= 28.28 cm

Thus , the length and breadth of the rectangular garden is 28.28 cm and 14.14 cm respectively.

I hope this helps you! p.s. i think area of the garden should be 800 cm^2 and then we'd get length as 40 cm and breadth would be 20 cm. Oh and idts area of a garden can be so small (since you said cm^2)

Anyway take no offence:) Have a GREAT day:D
