Given

One side of rhombus is 25cm

One diagonal is 30cm

To Find

Area of rhombus

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Step by step explanation

Here ,only one side and one diagonal is given and we have to find area of rhombus so we first have to find another diagonal .

Formula for finding other diagonal when one side and one diagonal is given:

 \sf \: D_{2}=  \sqrt{4 {a}^{2} -  {d_{1}}^{2}  }

\sf \: D_{2}=  \sqrt{4 {(25)}^{2}  -  {(30)}^{2} }

\sf \: D_{2}=  \sqrt{4 \times 625 - 900}

\sf \: D_{2}= \sqrt{2500 - 900}  =  \sqrt{1600}  = 40

 \therefore\sf \: D_{2}=40cm

 \sf \large\boxed{\: Area  \: of  \: Rhombus= \dfrac{D_{1} \times D_{2 }}{2}}

 \sf \: Area  \: of  \: Rhombus= \dfrac{40\times 30}{2}  =  \dfrac{1200}{2}  = 60

 \sf \therefore Area  \: of  \: Rhombus= 60 {cm}^{2}
