Given that sides of the right angle triangle are 5, 12 and 13 respectively.

As we know that hypotenuse is the largest side in any right angled triangle so other two sides will be base and perpendicular(height) respectively.

and largest side is 13 so 13 will be the hypotenuse and 12, 5 the base and perpendicular(height.)

Also we know that

area of any triangle is

 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height

So area of this right angle triangle will be:-)

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times 12 \\  = 5 \times 6 \\  = 30sq.units
