parallel side 1 = 8cm

parallel side 2 = 8+8 cm = 16 cm

height = under root( 17cm^2 - 8cm^2 )

           = under root ( 289 cm square - 64 cm square    )

            = under root ( 225 cm square)

           = 15 cm


area = 1/2 * (sum of parallel sides) * height

        = 1/2 * (8+16 cm) * 15 cm

        = 1/2 * 24 cm * 15 cm

        = 1/2 *360 cm square

        = 180 cm square
