Answer:

Given :-

  • Area of triangle => 360 cm²
  • Base of triangle => 15 cm

To Find :-

Altitude/Height

Solution :-

As we know that

Area = ½ × Base × Height

Let the height be x

 \sf  \: 360 =  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times 15 \times x

 \sf \cancel \dfrac{360}{2}  = 1 \times 15 \times x

 \sf \: 180 = 1 \times 15 \times x

 \sf \: 180 = 15x

 \sf \cancel \dfrac{180}{15} = x

 \sf \: 12 = x

Hence :-

Altitude is 12 cm.

To Find :-

  • Height or Altitude of the Triangle .

 \\  \\

Solution :-

 \\

⇒ Area of Triangle = ½ × Base x Height

⇒ 360 = ½ × 15 x Height

⇒ 360 × 2 = 15 x Height

⇒ 720 = 15 x Height

⇒ 720/15 = Height

48cm = Height

Verification :-

⇒ Area of Triangle = ½ × Base x Height

⇒ 360 = ½ × 15 x 48

⇒ 360 = 15 x 24

⇒ 360 = 360
