Given,

  • Area of the triangle = 90 cm²
  • The base of the triangle = 15 cm

To find,

  • We have to find the altitude of the triangle.

Solution,

We can simply find the altitude of the triangle by using the following formula:

 Area of the triangle = 1/2 * base * height  (*)

Area of the triangle = 90 cm²

The base of the triangle = 15 cm

Using (*), we get

               90 = 1/2 * 15 * altitude

     90 * 2/15 = altitude

         6 * 2   = altitude

          12 cm = altitude

Hence, the area of the triangle is 90 cm² if its base is 15 cm, then the height of the triangle is 12 cm.
