the area of a rhombus is 240 cm2 and and one of the diagonals is 16 cm. find the other diagonal.

A=240
1/2×d1d2 =240
1/2×16×d2=240
8×d2 =240
d2=240/8
d2=30cm........

as we know the area of rhombus it.s.

ar.of rhombus= 1/2 product of its diagonals.

therefore.
let the an known diagoanl be .'x'


we put the values.

240=1/2 *16 *x

240=8x

x=240/8

x=30

therefore. x=30(other diagonal)
