Area of trapezium = 28 cm²

Height of the trapezium = 4 cm

One of the parallel sides of trapezium = 6 cm

To find = Measurement of another parallel side

We know,

Area of trapezium = ½ × {Sum of parallel sides} × {Height of trapezium}

 \tt \to28 =  \frac{1}{2}  \{ 6 + unknown \:  \: sides\} \times 4 \\  \\   \tt \to  \frac{28}{ \frac{1}{2} }  = \{ 6 + unknown \:  \: sides\} \times 4 \\  \\ \tt \to  \frac{28}{ \frac{1}{2}  \times 4}  = 6 + unknown \:  \: sides \\  \\ \sf \to \: unknown \:  \: sides =  \frac{28}{ \frac{1}{2}  \times 4}  - 6 \\  \\ \sf \to \: unknown \:  \: sides =  \frac{28}{2}  - 6 \\  \\  \sf \to \: unknown \:  \: sides =  14 - 6 \\  \\  \sf \to \: unknown \:  \: sides =   \red8 \: cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of trapezium = 28 cm²

Height of the trapezium = 4 cm

One of the parallel sides of trapezium = 6 cm

To find = Measurement of another parallel side

We know,

Area of trapezium = ½ × {Sum of parallel sides} × {Height of trapezium}

\begin{gathered} \tt \to28 = \frac{1}{2} \{ 6 + unknown \: \: sides\} \times 4 \\ \\ \tt \to \frac{28}{ \frac{1}{2} } = \{ 6 + unknown \: \: sides\} \times 4 \\ \\ \tt \to \frac{28}{ \frac{1}{2} \times 4} = 6 + unknown \: \: sides \\ \\ \sf \to \: unknown \: \: sides = \frac{28}{ \frac{1}{2} \times 4} - 6 \\ \\ \sf \to \: unknown \: \: sides = \frac{28}{2} - 6 \\ \\ \sf \to \: unknown \: \: sides = 14 - 6 \\ \\ \sf \to \: unknown \: \: sides = \red8 \: cm\end{gathered}
