Arithmetic mean = Sum of all the numbers / Total number of values given
• Given, arithmetic mean of 8 and x is 20.
=> Sum = 8+x, Number of values = 2
=> Mean = (8 + x)/2 = 20

=> 8 + x = 40
=> x = 40 - 8 = 32
