If each value increases by 7, then arithmetic mean is 52

If each value decreases by 6,  then arithmetic mean is 39

If each value multiplied by 5, then arithmetic mean is 225

Solution:

Given that,

Arithmetic mean of 35 values is 45

Mean = 45

1) Each of the 35 values is increased by 7

If each value increases by 7, then arithmetic mean also increases by 7

New arithmetic mean = 45 + 7 = 52

2) Each of the 35 values decreased by 6

If each value decreases by 6,  then arithmetic mean also decreases by 6

New arithmetic mean = 45 - 6 = 39

3) Each of the 35 values multiplied by 5

If each value multiplied by 5, then mean gets multiplied by 5

New arithmetic mean = 45 x 5 = 225
