Let Arjun's age be x and shriya's age be y

x=2y
x-5=3 (y-5)
=>x-5=3y-15
=>2y-3y=-15+5
=>-y=-10
=>y=10
Now ,
x=2y
=>x=(2×10)
=>x=20
Therefore Arjun's age is 20 yrs and Shriya's age is 10 yrs.

Arjun is twice as old as shriya:-

x = 2y

Their ages before 5 years:-

Arjun's age = x-5

Shriya's age = y-5

Five years ago , his age was three times shriya's age

x-5 = 3(y-5)

x-5 = 3y-15

x-3y = -15+5

2y-3y = -10

-y = -10

y = 10

Therefore,x = 2(10) = 20

The present age of Arjun is 20 years and present age of Shreya is 10 years.
