Answer:

Molecular formula of glucose is C6H12O6.

The molecular mass of glucose = 6 × atomic mass of C + 12 × atomic mass of H + 6 × atomic mass of O

= 6 × 12 + 12 × 1 + 6 × 16

= 72 + 12 + 96

= 180 g/mol

The mass of one mole of glucose is 180 g

Cost of 250 g of glucose is  = 40 Rs

Then cost of 1 g is 250/40 which is 6.25 Rs

so, price of 180 g of glucose is = 180/6.25 =  28.8 Rs.

Arjun purchased 250 g of glucose (C6H12O6) for Rs. 40 .

then we have to find cost of glucose per mole molecular formula of glucose is C_6H_{12}O_6

so, molecular mass of glucose = 6 × atomic mass of C + 12 × atomic mass of H + 6 × atomic mass of O

= 6 × 12 + 12 × 1 + 6 × 16 = 72 + 12 + 96 = 180 g/mol

so, mass of one mole of glucose is 180g

now price of 250g of glucose = 40g

so, price of 1g of glucose = 40/250

so, price of 180g of glucose = 40 × 180/250 = 28.8 Rs.

so, cost of glucose per mole = 28.8 Rs.
