The five pillars of Islam (arkan al Islam also arkan all din pillars of the religion) are some basis acts in Islam, considered mandatory by believers and are the foundation of Muslim life. they are summarized in the hadith of Gabriel.

The five pillars of Islam are

Shahadah- sincerely reciting the Muslim profession of faith.

salat- performing ritual prayers in the proper way five times each and every day.

zakat- paying an alms(or charity )tax to benefit the poor and the needy.

sawm- fasting during the month of Ramadan.

hajj- pilgrimage to Mecca.
