around the bar magnet, field lines are found to be crowded in certain regions . what does it indicate ? how will you identify north pole and South Pole of a magnet with the help of magnetic field lines ? what will you conclude if the field lines are parallel straight lines. ? give an example where such field lines are observed.

if we don't know about the pole of magnet then

  1. first we can bar magnet
  2. ad then put bar magnet on cardboard
  3. add few iron filling and tap the cardboard
  4. we see the iron filling seems to make magnetic field lines

The magnetic field lines are crowded at some regions and this indicates the strong magnetic field of attraction in the bar magnet.

Explanation:

  • The north pole and the south pole are identified when the closed magnetic lines moves inwards and outwards.
  • If the magnetic field lines are moving inwards, then it will be south pole of the bar magnet.
  • If the magnetic field lines are moving outwards, it indicates the north pole of the bar magnet.
  • An the field lines are closer and parallel, this indicates that the strength of the magnetic field is uniform throughout the magnet.
  • An example for such field lines are observed are the Earth's magnetic field.
