For any question...just learn the series...

Acid>alcohol>aldehyde>ketone>ether>hydrocarbon

Using this...

Ethyl alcohol > acetaldehyde > propanone > dimethyl ether

Hello dear,

◆ Answer -
Increasing order of their boiling points for given options is -
Propane < Dimethyl ether < Acetaldehyde < Ethyl alcohol

● Explanation -
- All these given compounds have comparable molecular masses, so their boiling boints are influenced by type of intermolecular forces present in them.
- As Ethanol shows H-bonding, it have highest boiling point.
- As dipole-dipole interaction is more fierce in acetaldehyde than dimethyl ether, acetaldehyde will have higher boiling point.
- Propane having only van-der walls forces, it would have least boiling point.

Hope this helped you. Thanks for asking..
