Concept:

In mathematics, Least Common Multiple is referred to by LCM, whereas Highest Common Factor is HCF. The L.C.M. defines the least number that is exactly divisible by two or more numbers, whereas the H.C.F. describes the biggest factor existing between any given pair of two or more numbers. LCM is also known as the Least Common Multiple (LCM), and HCF is also known as the Greatest Common Factor (GCF).

Given:

4/13, 7/4, 3/5, 9/11

Find:

Arrange the following fractions in descending order:

Solution:

LCM(13,4,5,11)=2860

4/13=4X572/2860=2280/2860

7/4=7X715/2860=5005/2860

3/5=3*572/2860=1716/2860

9/11=9X260/2860=2340/2860

Descending order:

5005/2860>2340/2860>2280/2860>1716/2860

Or 7/4>9/11>4/13>3/5

Therefore, in descending order is  7/4>9/11>4/13>3/5
