To Find : Arrange the fractions in the ascending order:

Solution:

(i) 2/9, 7/9, 3/9, 4/9, 1/9, 6/9, 5/9

Denominator is same in all

Hence numerator can be compared directly

Hence ascending order is

1/9  , 2/9  , 3/9 ,  4/9  , 5/9 , 6/9 , 7/9

(ii) 7/8, 7/25, 7/11, 7/18, 7/10

Here Numerator is Same  hence Denominator should be in descending order to get ascending order

Hence

7/25 , 7/18 , 7/11 , 7/10 , 7/8

(iii) 2/5, 3/4, 1/2, 3/10

Take LCM of denominator

5 , 4 , 2 and 10   LCM = 20

2/5  = 8/20

3/4  = 15/20

1/2  = 10/20

3/10   = 6/20

6 , 8 , 10 , 15

3/10 ,  2/5 ,  1/2 , 3/4
