Step-by-step explanation:

Case of Ramesh

Weight of apples= 5kg 300g = 5300g

Weight of mangoes= 3kg 250g = 3250g

Therefore,

Total weight= 5300g + 3250g = (5300+3250)g = 8550g = 8.55g

Case of Sarla

Weight of oranges= 4kg 800g = 4800g

Weight of bananas= 4kg 150g = 4150g

Therefore,

Total weight= 4800g + 4150g = (4800+4150)g = 8950g = 8.95kg

Since,

8.95kg > 8.55kg, Sarla bought more fruits.

Weight by which Sarla bought more fruits= 8.95kg - 8.55kg = 0.40kg = 400g
