To arrange : following numbers in the descending order .

Given data :

Solution :

  • To arrange numbers in descending order is to write number from bigger to small .
  • Therefore , to arrange given rational numbers in the descending order we need to equalize denominators of all the rational numbers by takin LCM .
  • Therefore , LCM = 21
  • Now , multiplying numerators by same numbers as multiplied by denominator to make LCM .
  • Therefore, we get , -3,0, \frac{-11}{7} ,\frac{-21}{3}, -1= \frac{-3\times 21}{21} , \frac{0}{21}  , \frac{-11\times 3}{21}, \frac{-21\times 7}{21},\frac{-1\times21}{21}

                                                                       = \frac{-63}{21} ,0,\frac{-33}{21} \frac{-147}{21} , \frac{-21}{21}

  • Descending order :   0> \frac{-21}{21} >\frac{-33}{21}>\frac{-63}{21}>\frac{-147}{21}

Hence , descending order is 0 >-1 >\frac{-11}{7}>-3> \frac{-21}{21} .
