1. Vellore Mutiny(1806): this was the first Mutiny took place on 10 July 1806 at Vellore city of South Indian. In this mutiny, the rebels killed around 100 British troops and seized the Vellore Fort The re-volt was suppressed by army and artillery from Arcot.
2. Kittur rebellion(1824-1829): this revolt was named after its leading queen known as Kittur Chennamma, the queen of Kittur (princely state of Karnataka). She led an armed rebellion against the doctrine of Lapse introduced by the British East India Company.
