Answer

  • 5 m/s  <  10 m/s  <  16.67 m/s

Given

  • 10 m/s , 1 km/m , 18 km/h

To Find

  • Arranging the velocities in increasing order / Ascending order after converting into SI unit ( m/s )

Concept Used

1 km/h = ⁵/₁₈ m/s

1 km = 1000 m

1 h = 60 min = 3600 s

1 min = 60 s

Solution

  • 10 m/s

Here , this is already in SI unit . So , no need to convert .

1 km/m

Here this is not in SI unit of velocity . So we need to convert .

\implies \rm 1\ km/min\\\\\implies \rm (1000\ m)/(60\ s)\\\\\implies \rm 100/6\ m/s\\\\\implies \rm 16.67\ m/s

So ,

  • 1 km/min = 16.67 m/s

18 km/h

Here also , velocity is not in SI unit . So we need to convert .

\implies \rm 18\ km/h\\\\\implies \rm 18\ \times \bigg(\dfrac{5}{18}m/s\bigg)\\\\\implies \rm 5\ m/s

So ,

  • 18 km/h = 5 m/s

Now , Time to arrange in ascending order . [ Observe three velocities carefully ]

  • 5 m/s < 10 m/s < 16.67 m/s
